Andy Galea is a highly respected DJ, producer, and A&R figure with a long-standing legacy in UK and international dance music. Best known as one half of Sol Brothers and formerly a key member of Freestylers, Andy has been responsible for a string of influential club records spanning house, breakbeat, and electronic music.
As Sol Brothers, Andy achieved global success with the iconic club anthem Turn Me Out featuring Kathy Brown, alongside the hugely influential What Would We Do. Another standout release, Suitcase at the Door featuring Marcella Woods, further cemented the Sol Brothers name within club culture. These records became defining releases of their era and remain staples in DJ sets
worldwide.
Andy’s career also includes his time with Freestylers, contributing to seminal releases such as BBoy Stance, helping shape the UK breakbeat movement and earning widespread industry recognition, including MOBO Awards consideration during the project’s peak years.
Today, Andy continues to release forward-thinking club music under the Sol Brothers and Andy Galea names, including forthcoming releases on Armada Music. Recent singles such as “Just Static” have also received support across worldwide radio and stations including Kiss FM UK. Alongside his artist career, Andy remains active as a DJ, label owner, and A&R consultant within the global
electronic music scene.
